Feargal has composed music for the (RSC) Royal Shakespeare Company's acclaimed production of "The Rape of Lucrece", arranged for the Irish Film Orchestra, Irish Concert Orchestra and the Orchestra of Ireland.
He has co-written with legendary Irish songwriters Jimmy Mac Carthy and Brendan Graham, and with Pulitzer prize-winning Poet Paul Muldoon on his 'A life in lyrics' documentary. He also co-wrote/arranged on Moya Brennan's (Voice of Clannad) Grammy-nominated album "Two Horizons”.
He released a piano/vocal-based album with Cathy Jordan (Dervish) in Jan '24 called 'Storybook' - the songs of Brendan Graham' ******** 8/10 HOTPRESS
(storybookthesongsofbrendangraham.com), followed by a nationwide tour. They also performed at the RTE Folk Awards in Vicar Street in February '24 for the Shane Mac Gowan tribute section.
He has played/recorded with many Irish artists over the years and is long-time producer/arranger/bandleader/pianist for Camille O'sullivan. In 2023 he was Musical Director/Arranger for the ***** critically acclaimed sold-out run of PIAF at the Gate theatre, Dublin.
Along with internationally successful Australian songwriter Paul Kelly he composed music for musical theatre piece "Ancient Rain", which was nominated for an Australian Helpmann Award in 2017, "Murray's stunning original piano score" THE AUSTRALIAN. He wrote music for an adaptation of James Joyce's "The Dead", performed by actor Aidan Gillen at London's Globe Theatre and directed by Conor Mc Pherson.
He was Music Co-ordinator/House band member for a 3 year RTE TV music series 'Coulter and Company". He has performed on numerous radio and tv programmes, including "Later..with Jools Holland", "The Late Late Show" and "Good Morning America".
He has toured extensively, playing such US venues as Radio City Music hall, The Greek Theatre and Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Carnegie hall...UK venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, Festival Hall and London's Roundhouse with Camille O'Sullivan, Dublin's National Concert Hall with Liam O'Flynn, as well as playing at the funerals of Irish legends Shane MacGowan and George Best.
